Wall Craft

 

We crafted a wall decoration in this activity. Initially, we designed various patterns on our popsicle sticks. I created four distinct designs and duplicated them to have eight popsicles in total. After the popsicle sticks were all decorated, we selected two different yarn colors to make our strings. I chose blue and pink. We then wrapped the yarn around a single popsicle stick and tied four strings together. We repeated this process eight times to make eight tassels. Finally, we used two long strings to tie all the popsicle sticks together to ensure that they remained intact.

As an additional exercise, I would prompt my students to make a craft similar to this one but for a ELA lesson. They would draw the vocab words on popsicle sticks, and we could hang them around the room to study.
